It’s a bit windy.

Knowing there was a storm coming I spent some time staking up some tall plants last night and, so far, apart from a couple of delphiniums, everything seems to be ok.  Thankfully I’ve created some quite effective wind barriers over the years using hedging, and mounds but gale force winds can still cut through even the most dense of hedges at times.  I’m hoping it rains significantly tonight as the soil is power dry after the wonderfully long hot May we’ve had. I’m a bit fed up now of the daily watering routine to make sure my young plants don’t die of thirst.  We need the soil to get a thorough soaking.
